Merbau Solid Wooden Floors

Because of problems of illegal logging particularly in the far east, and therefore restrictions on the import of this timber, merbau has become very difficult to source. We can, however, supply solid wood merbau floors but in a limited range of widths. Currently our merbau flooring is available as

• Un-finished 20 mm solid strip flooring in prime grade, widths 90 mm and 120 mm, mixed lengths from about 450 mm up to about 1.2 metres, tongued and grooved sides and ends.

Merbau is one of the few timbers available to those who want natural dark flooring, rather than stained. A very hard timber, it is characterised by the dark reddish brown colour and straight grain which often has lighter marking.
